This is Doc, the second of two B-29s totally restored and now in flying condition.

Seen here, Doc is being towed from a Boeing hangar in Wichita, Kansas.

  1. Smashing photograph. My father was in the RAF – a chief tech.
    We were based at St Athan – a training camp -in South Wales for a while and they had several bombers there. I remember seeing the Vulcan and the Canbera.

      Thank you. I worked on the communications systems on two Canbera aircraft while stationed at Charleston AFB, SC during the mid-50s.
