In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “I Pledge Allegiance.”
Patriotism:
It means doing for my country whatever I am mentally and physically capable of doing.
The last line of my latest post concerning the ’91 Gulf War, and my duty with Oregon Army MARS is a prime definition of that word. Every citizen, when asked, should stand ready, without hesitation, to serve his/her country.

It’s sad to think that everyone does not feel the same way .too much is taken for granted .
