This was the summer of 1997. Barb and i had ridden our Suzuki GS-650F into Oregon’s Cascade Mountains. We were pitching our tent at Lost Lake, atop the Santiam Summit. Super super fun – except for the tent. It was meanest tent I ever owned. A person needed an engineering degree to get it up. 🙂

Some tents are complete nightmares…I guess yours was one of those!

Yes it was. Thank you.

Maybe you could invent a tent that is all set up and ready to go. Unfold it, press a button, and it springs into place. All you have to do is tap a few pegs and there you are.

They do have a tent that is self-supporting and jumps from its package erected. But they are heavy, bulky, and not motorcycle friendly.
Thanks for reading.
