The Question Mark

Several weeks ago I asked if anyone knew why in the KJV of the Holy Bible lower case letters often followed a question mark.

During the period in which the King James Version occurred – 1611 – the quotation mark, as we know it, did not exist. A quoted statement was designated by the use of an uppercase letter. If a question mark was used, but the speaker was not yet finished the first word after the question began with a lower case letter.
